Welcome to Caterpillar British Nursery, an innovative early learning experience for children aged 2 months to 4 years located in the Eastern Mangroves area of Abu Dhabi, just off Salam Street (see location map).

We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage of the curriculum for England. The activities offered are especially planned to enhance children's learning. We are equipped with the very best educational toys and games, with a qualified staff and pleasant environment.

The mission of Caterpillar Nursery is to instil a love of learning in both our children and their families, and to provide a skill base to prepare our children to confidently meet the challenges of a diverse world.

Why Caterpillar?

Choosing the right nursery for your little one can be a stressful and bewildering experience. We recommend all prospective parents to draw up a shortlist and then visit, ask questions and compare so that you find the right setting for your own priorities.

While no nursery can be "all things to all people", we do believe that Caterpillar offers a uniquely attractive set of options for parents making that difficult selection decision:

Facilities

Our indoor facilities are modern, light and spacious. The well-equipped classrooms are fitted out with natural timber furniture and provide ample space for play and exploration. The large outdoors area includes several different activity areas and extensive shading.

In addition, we offer some unique features, such as:

  • an auditorium for events, meetings, performances and parties
  • a large indoor soft-play room
  • a parents' lounge

  • to observe the nursery in action (the parents' lounge is available at all times, with full CCTV coverage of the classrooms)
  • to take part in the regular home/school events that are planned to celebrate the children's progress
  • as part of the community events held in the auditorium

Teaching staff

Low student/staff ratios ensure all children receive the individualised care and attention that is so important at this age. Our qualified staff are supported with training and development to ensure they deliver the very best in current educational practice, creating a warm and supportive environment that stimulates the natural curiosity and eagerness to learn that lies within all young children.

The nursery is led by an energetic and committed team of senior staff. Their role is to:

  • carefully monitor the delivery and quality of our curriculum,
  • organise and support the staff,
  • promote the ethos and values of the nursery
  • assist and support parents in any way they can
